Protection

Venum Elite ReviewFor gloves designed for entry/intermediate level boxers, they offer a pretty good protection for their price.

They definitely feel quite comfortable when putting them on and there is a pretty good support on the wrist area and also on the front parts of the glove.

The gloves feature an attached thumb that helps you in preventing you from catching your thumb on the side of an elbow, heavy bag, or pads.

Although they are not from real leather, the surface of the gloves is nice and soft, which is definitely a good thing if you intend to spar with those.

Also, they are a “longer” boxing gloves(opposite to the traditional Muay Thai gloves). That means that they extend more to the forearm, which in combination with the elastic hook and loop enclosure, provide you with great wrist support.

Comfort

The Elites are definitely more comfortable than the Challenger 2.0s. However, the Elites are 20-30$ more expensive.

These gloves are a little bit larger than the most boxing gloves on the market and that might a problem if you have smaller hands. There is a little bit of extra room in the thumb and palm area and this may reduce the stability of the glove.

However, if you have bigger hands and some boxing gloves are tighter than you might like – this is a good advantage for the Venum Elite.

Additionally, the gloves are ventilated with a quality mesh panel covering the front. This allows a good bit of air to enter the inside of the gloves. Therefore, the sweating is a much less likely compared to other gloves.

Quality and Price

Pretty well-built boxing gloves with a premium feel for a low price.

If you are looking for a good quality, affordable, entry-level type of boxing gloves, these are a pretty good choice. With a price of 70-80$, you are receiving good look, durability, and comfort.

Although they are not from real leather, they most likely are going to last you a few years of regular use.

Also, these gloves are “Made in Thailand” which is definitely a good thing to see on boxing gloves.
