UFC 227 will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4, in Los Angeles and is the next big summer card this year you just can’t afford to miss.

Main Event: T.J. Dillashaw v Cody Garbrandt

The main event is headlined by TJ Dillashaw defending his 135lbs. belt agains the the former champion Cody Gardbrandt.

The previous fight Dillashaw defeated Garbrandt with a spectacular knockout in the 2nd round.

Dillashaw enter the contest having won seven of his last eight fights. That’s why he is chosen as a favourite by the betting tips site OLBG and many other betting experts.

Garbrand saw his perfect 6-0 run in the UFC come to an end when fought TJ in UFC 217.

Co-Main Event: Demetrious Johnson v Henry Cejudo

In the co-main event Demetrious “Might Mouse” Johnson will have to defeat one of his most dangerous opponents again.

They first met at UFC 197 held on April 16, 2016. Johnson defeated Cejudo via first round TKO, and that broke the undefeated 10-0 record for Henry.

The 31 year-old Cejudo have been long talking about rematch with “Mighty Mouse”, and Johnson agreed that the re-match will happen if Cejudo beat Sergio Pettis, which he did in his last fight.

On the other hand, at UFC 216 last October, DJ beat Ray Borg in a spectacular fashion with a fifth-round armbar submission. This broke Anderson Silva’s record of the most consecutive title defenses(11).

Johnson is considered one of the best to ever do it. He is currently 15-1-1 in the UFC and has never lost a 125-pound battle.

A light heavyweight fight between former UFC Light Heavyweight Championship challengers Volkan Oezdemir and Alexander Gustafsson was expected to take place at this event.

However, on July 19, it was announced that Volkan pulled out due to a broken nose. A replacement for Gustafsson is yet to be found.
